Complete Property Training will hold regular courses in Brisbane for the following Real Estate Licence Categories.
Real Estate Registration Certificate – Being the entry point for most people starting out the industry, this Certificate will allow you to be employed by a Fully Licenced Agent or Principal of a Real Estate Business. You can be employed as either a Salesperson or a Property Manager as there is not a separate form of Licence for each job title.
There are seven units of study that need to be completed in this 3 day course, or you can choose a correspondence option where you can complete the study over a six month period if needed.
The Office of Fair Trading who issue all Licences will want you to produce a Statement of Attainment for the following units when you apply for your Certificate:-
•CPPDSM4008A Identify legal and ethical requirements of property sales to complete agency work
•CPPDSM4009 Interpret legislation to complete agency work
•CPPDSM4010A Lease property
•CPPDSM4012A List property for sale
•CPPDSM4015B Minimise agency and consumer risk
•CPPDSM4022A Sell and finalise the sale of property by private treaty
•CPPDSM4080A Work in the real estate industry.
Full Real Estate Licence – This is the Licence you will need if you intend to work independently or perhaps run your own office. The Full Real Estate Agent’s Licence will also allow you to open and operate a Trust Account as well as employ staff like Salespeople and Property Managers.
The Office of Fair Trading will want you to produce a Statement of Attainment for the following units of competency when you apply for your Full Agent’s Licence:-

CPPDSM4011A List property for lease
CPPDSM4012A List property for sale
CPPDSM4013A Market property for lease
CPPDSM4014A Market property for sale
CPPDSM4015B Minimise agency and consumer risk
CPPDSM4016A Monitor and manage lease or tenancy agreement
CPPDSM4018A Prepare and present property reports
CPPDSM4019A Prepare for auction and complete sale
CPPDSM4022A Sell and finalise the sale of property by private treaty
CPPDSM4046A Manage tenancy disputes
CPPDSM4080A Work in the real estate industry
At the completion of the study you will apply to the Office of Fair Trading and pay the appropriate fee. You will then have to wait approximately 4 weeks for the OFT to process your Application and issue you with your Real Estate Licence or Certificate.
