Real Estate Traineeship Pathways

Complete Property Training is a leading provider of Real Estate Traineeships throughout Queensland. Our training facilities are located at the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, and Cairns.

Our Traineeship Pathway Program will enable eligible applicants to be awarded the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice upon successful completion. We understand that all Traineeships require a blend of on-the-job training and classroom learning, and we create a flexible Training Plan that suits both the Student and the Employer, recognizing this unique balance.

• Fee For Service (FFS) – Blended – Theory and assessment (Intensive Workshops) and workplace training delivered with direct and active supervision.

General Traineeship – 12 Months Full-Time
School Based Traineeship – 12 Months Full-Time
Note: Minimum days/hours of paid work required – 50 days / 375 hours

UNITS OF COMPETENCY
• To be awarded this qualification, competency must be achieved in 18 units of competency:
o 5 core units
o 13 elective units.

Note: CPT will award an additional unit via Statement of Attainment when the second Intensive Workshop is completed. This unit has been imported from the CPP Property Services Training Package.

COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

General Traineeship – Trainees must be employed in the Real Estate Industry. To be eligible for a real estate license, applicants must be 18 years or older.

School-Based Traineeships – The school must have a workplace in the Real Estate Industry engaged before starting the Traineeship. Eligible students must be completing years 10 and 11. If students want to pursue a real estate license, they will only be eligible once they reach the age of 18.

CPT courses require LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) capabilities, such as a working knowledge of the English language and an understanding of various mathematical calculations. To ensure your ability to successfully complete our courses, you are required to demonstrate your LLN skills by completing a short LLN quiz as part of the enrolment process.

STUDENTS WILL REQUIRE
• A computer or device to access learning materials, undertake online assessments and conduct research. Students will have the choice to complete assessments digitally or in paper form.
• Internet access for research, submitting assessment items, email for communication purposes, assistance and class access if completing the intensive workshops via ZOOM.
• Notebook, pen and a marker to take notes.
• A Unique Student Identifier (USI) that can be obtained at www.usi.gov.au

STUDENT JOURNEY
General Traineeship
o Workplace engages with CPT.
o CPT creates a training plan in conjunction with the workplace and nominates preferred dates to attend CPT Intensive Workshops, which are designed to provide intensive training and hands-on experience in the field.
o Student Enrols
o Fees are paid
o Student completes all workplace tasks via logbook – 12 months.
o Students must attend CPT intensive workshops face-to-face or Zoom:
• 4 days in the initial 6 months of the training plan
• 2 days on the final 6 months of the training plan
• Note: We understand the importance of flexibility. If the workplace agrees, we can adjust the training plan to allow for all 6 days to be completed at once.
o Fair Work Queensland has a calculator to help you determine the correct trainee wages – Apprentice and trainee pay rates

School-based Traineeship
The school makes all necessary arrangements to ensure that students will have a workplace to complete the Traineeship. Once this is achieved:
o The school engages with CPT.
o CPT creates a training plan in conjunction with the workplace and nominates preferred dates to attend CPT Intensive Workshops. CPT recommends that Intensive Workshops are completed during school holidays to minimise disruption to the school curriculum.
o The parties (i.e. trainee and parent, if applicable and appropriate) have signed a traineeship training contract.
o The trainee’s (student’s) school timetable or curriculum reflects a combination of school studies, paid work with an employer and training in an apprenticeship or traineeship occupation.
o The Traineeship progresses towards a nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification aligned with a skilled trade or vocation and can contribute towards the attainment of a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) or its equivalent.
o Student Enrols
o Fees are paid
o The student completes all workplace tasks via a logbook. Students must work at least 7.5 hours a week, averaged over every 3 months, for every 12 months of your training contract.
o Students must attend CPT intensive workshops face-to-face:
• 4 days in the initial 6 months of the training plan
• 2 days on the final 6 months of the training plan
